Inuvialuit Final Agreement

Enacted in 1984, the Western Arctic Claims (Inuvialuit) Settlement Act established the Inuvialuit Final Agreement to preserve Inuvialuit culture, promote their economic participation, and protect Arctic wildlife, with the EIRB as a key element in this co-management approach.

Inuvialuit Settlement Region

The Inuvialuit Settlement Region, defined in the Inuvialuit Final Agreement and Western Arctic Claims Settlement Act, comprises lands and waters traditionally used by the Inuvialuit.
